暑热炎炎之际，2026年 IEO国际经济学奥林匹克全球总决赛 圆满落幕！IEO作为青少年经济学竞赛，聚焦经济学理论应用、商业案例分析、临场思辨答辩等多元能力考核，赛程严苛、竞争激烈，汇聚了全球56个国家经济学精英学子同台角逐。

凭借扎实的学术功底、出色的思辨能力与稳定的赛场发挥，上海星河湾双语学校4名学子层层突围、脱颖而出，成功入选中国国家队，代表中国学子登上世界级学术赛场，与全球顶尖学生同台切磋、巅峰对决！

本次全球总决赛赛程设置全面且极具专业性，涵盖了 宏观与微观经济学笔试、经济案例研究等多个核心环节 。赛事不仅考察学生对经济学基础理论、市场规律、经济政策的精准掌握，更侧重考验选手结合全球经济热点、真实商业场景分析问题、解决问题的综合能力，同时对团队协作、临场应变与综合学术表达能力提出极高要求。在高强度、高难度的全球对决中， 星校学子代表中国队首次在IEO比赛取得全球冠亚军的历史性突破，刷新IEO国家队赛事纪录 ，为中国青少年经济学竞赛斩获重磅荣誉！

At the height of summer, the 2026 International Economics Olympiad (IEO) came to a successful conclusion in Shenzhen.

The IEO is an annual international competition for high school students with an interest in economics, business, and finance. Through a rigorous and highly competitive program, it challenges contestants to apply their knowledge, think critically, analyze real-world problems, and communicate their ideas effectively. The 2026 edition brought together outstanding students from countries and territories around the world.

Drawing on their strong academic foundations, excellent analytical abilities, and composure under pressure, four students from Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School distinguished themselves through multiple rounds of selection and were chosen to represent China at IEO 2026. On this prestigious international stage, they competed and exchanged ideas with some of the world’s most talented young scholars. The school’s official English name is  Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School.

IEO 2026 featured three principal academic components:  Economics & Finance Multiple-Choice Questions, Economics & Finance Open Questions,  and the  Business Case.  For the Business Case, teams were required to develop solutions and present them in English before the Jury. Together, these components assessed not only contestants’ understanding of economics and finance, but also their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems, conduct structured analysis, collaborate effectively, respond to challenges, and communicate with clarity and confidence.

Despite the intensity and difficulty of the global competition, Starriver students delivered outstanding performances as members of Team China. Their achievements contributed to historic first- and second-place finishes for China at the IEO, setting a new record for the Chinese national team and earning significant recognition for young Chinese economics scholars.

These exceptional results reflect the students’ sustained dedication to the rigorous and in-depth study of economics.

Supported by the school’s comprehensive AP curriculum, the students developed a strong theoretical foundation through their daily studies while continually broadening their perspectives on both macroeconomics and microeconomics. Under the dedicated guidance of the school’s subject teachers, they built upon the core curriculum while preparing for the interdisciplinary demands of the competition.

By connecting economic theory with real-world business contexts and current social and economic issues, the students strengthened their economic reasoning, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and capacity for interdisciplinary inquiry.

From years of focused learning on campus to showcasing their talents on an international stage, Starriver students have demonstrated outstanding academic competence while allowing their individual strengths to shine.

Looking ahead, the school will continue to provide opportunities and platforms for students with a passion for economics. It will encourage them to explore the discipline more deeply, develop a global outlook, and continue challenging themselves and reaching new heights on international academic stages.
