2025 G1-G4 Charity Show

The October sun, warm and bright, illuminated the smiles on the children's faces. On October 10th, the familiar campus transformed into a “Charity Show” brimming with affection and surprises. The rhythmic calls of vendors, the dazzling array of handmade crafts, and the meticulously decorated stalls... all converged to create the warmest scene of this autumn.

Before the sale, the school actively promoted the concept of “creating unique stalls with creativity and character” through parent-teacher conferences and enthusiastic parent meetings. This initiative received an enthusiastic response on-site, with each stall showcasing its own highlights, becoming a beautiful sight at the event.

As the sale drew nearer, first-graders brimmed with excitement and anticipation. They asked incessantly: “What is a charity sale?” “Can we sell gifts we made?” “Where will the money go?” These innocent questions revealed their curiosity and eager anticipation for the event. Encouraged by teachers and parents, the children sprang into action. Unlike previous years, this sale incorporated high-tech elements. Children brought home-designed ornaments and toys created with 3D printers, sparking a rush of purchases—truly brimming with creativity! Under teacher guidance, they also designed stall posters, transforming blank sheets into imaginative advertisements with colorful brushes and glittering stickers. Every stroke bore the mark of their heartfelt creation.

Before the event, second graders brought unused picture books, toys, and handmade crafts from home. With their parents' help, they set up their stalls—some cut adorable patterns from colored paper to decorate display boards, others labeled items with “special price” tags, all bustling with excitement. Once the sale began, the little “stall owners” enthusiastically held up their goods, introducing them to passing teachers and classmates: This storybook is super fun—only 3 yuan!“ ”This handmade keychain is all mine!“ This year's sale incorporated traditional Chinese elements, transforming the event into a mini ”intangible cultural heritage" workshop! Parents from classes 2-5 set up a shadow puppet stage, where children eagerly gathered to uncover the secrets behind the scenes. At the candy floss booth, each spin of the wheel held the promise of a sweet treat, blending tradition with childlike wonder.

Though only some parents volunteered to assist this year's third-grade students, every group prepared diligently, aiming to run the most popular stall at the sale. The scorching heat couldn't dampen the students' enthusiasm for selling. Their calls echoed across the track—some invited classmates from other grades to shop at their booths, others sold handmade crafts, while some offered activities like raffles and smashing golden eggs. Thanks to the efforts of every student and parent volunteer, the fair unfolded in full swing, with young shoppers leaving with big smiles and bags full of treasures.

For the fourth graders, charity sales were nothing new, but this experience felt uniquely special. As soon as the event began, the “little entrepreneurs” on the playground sprang into action. Handmade posters were carefully displayed, stalls overflowed with diverse goods, and a few children even set up compact ice cream freezers stacked with colorful treats. The wildly popular “smash the golden egg” and “blind box draw” booths drew long lines. To attract customers, the young vendors offered discounts for purchases over a certain amount, bulk discounts, or free gifts with purchases. Some lively students even walked around shouting out their wares, enthusiastically drawing in customers. The entire playground buzzed with lively activity and laughter. Students from every grade browsed with delight, while parents and teachers present couldn't resist stopping to browse and select items. Eventually, everyone left with their favorite little treasures, their arms full.

During this two-hour charity show, the children poured their heartfelt intentions into every detail: the earnestness of selecting merchandise, the enthusiasm of hawking their wares, and the concentration of counting the proceeds. Those scattered coins and small gestures shimmered like tiny droplets of water. Individually, they might seem insignificant, but when gathered together, they formed a warm river. Carrying the children's love, it flowed toward places in need, gradually brewing into a vast wave of warmth.
