中午12点40分，运动会正式开始。各班队伍方阵喊着响亮的口号，整齐划一地从主席台前走过，令人印象深刻。在风采展示阶段，各班代表队给我们带来了精彩绝伦的团队展示，富有个性的表演纷纷展现了各班的班级特色。

随着学生代表和体育老师的郑重宣誓，运动会正式开始。本次田径运动会有60米、200米、400米、女子800米/男子1000米、4×100米接力等跑步项目，还有实心球、跳远和跳高比赛。在运动场上，运动员们挥洒着汗水，努力地冲刺，再冲刺，书写着属于自己的篇章。同学们奋力拼搏，每一步都拼劲全力，尝试突破自我，为班级获得一份荣誉！获得的每一份荣誉，更是他们送给自己的成长见证！

计分板上满载着同学们拼搏的佳绩，运动会在鼓励和欢呼声中落下了帷幕。夕阳下歌声里满是不舍，这段青春之歌和美好记忆永远不会磨灭。运动是积极奋进，没有绝对的失败和胜利。这一天，每一位运动员都是自己的胜利者！

G5-G6

On April 27th, 2025, The refreshing moment embraced the students from Grades Five and Six of Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School, full of energy and confidence, as they gathered on the sports field, ready to begin this lively sports meeting.

The event kicked off with an exciting class entrance ceremony. Each class had  spent weeks preparing unique performances   and creative slogans. Clear and loud slogans echoed through the sports field as students walked proudly towards the platform, their faces full of delight and anticipation. The competition was about to begin.

After the solemn flag-raising ceremony, the thrilling sports events finally started. The 50-meter sprint was the first race. The runners lined up at the starting line, resembling cheetahs ready to chase down their prey. When the whistle blew, they shot off like arrows, their legs moving so fast they seemed to be flying. The cheers from the sidelines grew louder, pushing each runner to exceed their own limits.

The 200-meter and 400-meter races tested our patience, speed, and endurance. Some runners’ faces turned red, and their breaths grew heavier as they pushed forward. But whenever they heard their classmates shouting,“Keep going! Go, go, go!”, they found new strength and sped up once more. Sweat streamed down their faces like rain, yet they never gave up. Their determination deeply touched everyone around them.

In the high jump and long jump areas, students displayed their leaping abilities. Those participating in the straddle high jump ran, leaped, and cleared the bar gracefully. The long jumpers took a deep breath and launched themselves as far as they could, leaving clear footprints in the sandpit. In the sandbag and solid ball throwing events, everyone gave their all, eagerly watching as their throws soared through the air.   

The most exciting event of all was the relay race. Each team consisted of sixteen members, and their teamwork was crucial. As soon as the starting gun fired, the first runner dashed forward. As they neared their teammate, they passed the baton smoothly. The baton moved from hand to hand, carrying not just speed, but also trust and hope.

As the day wore on, the sports meeting came to a close. We were all tired and sweaty, but our smiles said it all. This day taught us the value of teamwork, friendship, and perseverance. I believe the spirit of determination we displayed on the sports field will stay with us, helping us overcome challenges both in our studies and in life.

G7-G8

On the afternoon of April 23rd, the students of Grade 7 and 8 attended the annual Sport Festival. 12 classes were arranged into square matrixes and performed amazing shows after marching on the tracks. The shows were highly diversified, from unique dances to musical performances, all of which emerged with youthful spirit. After the performances, Chino from G8-3 talked about what figure skating had taught her. Ms. Zhou and Mr. Hans talked about the importance of sportsmanship. Finally, after the flag-raising ceremony, the Sport Festival was to be started.

High jump and long jump kicked off the game. The athletes stepped on the ground, took off high, flew in the air, and landed smoothly. The next event was the shot put. The throwers converged all of their strength into the arms, and by the greatest power the ball curved a parabola in the air. No matter how the score was, they made their greatest attempt and deserved the audience’ support.

Here came the short runs, including 60 and 200 meters. As the starting gun was fired, the runners sprinted onto the tracks, facing the spring wind that patted their faces, hearing the chants of their classmates, and hoping to win a title for themselves and their classes.

What came next was the long runs – 400, 800, and 1000 meters. The long runs required not only strength, but also stamina. The athletes swung their arms and legs, circled the track one time by another, running towards the finish line with their determination to win the title.   

The last competition was the 4*100 meters relay race, which requires teamwork among the 4 runners. Every runner gave their maximum effort to make a lead for the next runner as great as possible. Unlike previous years, this time expact teachers joined the relay race, which made the race more interesting.

Victory doesn’t come as easily as picking dandelions on the hillside. There are other valuable things in this world that worth giving us all. The scores of this sport festival were not as important as athleticism and sportsmanship. Joyful times last short. As time passed by, the sports festival ended, but the youthful spirits will continue and last forever.
