2018.12.22 | G8: A Tug of War Competition

On December 7th, all the students of Grade 8 gathered in the big SSBS gym. A great fight was about to take place. It was a tug of war competition among our grade.

The students from each class put on gloves confidently. With firm eyes and steadfast steps, all revealed the determination to win the competition.

“Come on class one!” “Class two, Fighting!” Cheering cries rang throughout the game. It was a tight competition. The strips of cloth tied in the middle of the long and coarse rope swayed with the effort of both sides. We can see students’ faces flashed with a bit of hope for victory while the strips of cloth moving back only 1 inch. The appeal of collective competition is undoubtedly enormous.

In a twinkling of an eye, we were surprised to find that many teachers of grade eight were slowly gathering towards the gym. Some of them were cheering loudly for their own class, and some of them were taking photos and videos actively.

A class is undoubtedly the pride of each of us. We were all willing to help and fight for our class with our dearest classmates. And it would be the most precious memory of us.

In the end, the game was over. Class one won the final victory. The winners cheered and ran around the gym. They couldn't wait to tell everyone the news. The other two classes comforted each other. No matter what the result was, the hard work of all of us was the best medal of this competition.
