????Amidst the breeze of the autumn wind, the opening ceremony of SSBS arrived. The school invited Secretary Hu qingtian of the General Party Branch, Teaching Director of Middle School Department Zheng Shengjie, and Deputy Teaching Director Wu Lele to attend the ceremony. Mr. Shen Hongtian was the host of the ceremony. In the beginning of the ceremony, students stood up and saluted the Five-Star Red Flag on the screen.

????Then, the representative students from Grade 7, 8, and 9 gave their speeches respectively.

????First, Martin from 7-5 made a speech about how to study efficiently during school time. He listed four ways that can help students to improve their studies: fine attitude, comfortable method, reasonable time management, and self-reflection.

????Second, Michael from 9-6 gave us a way on how to face the inevitability of “change”. Changes could provide us a chance to grow. The only way that can solve this problem is to “keep calm and smile”.

????From 8-1 Sienna’s speech, students could learn how to set their own goals and insert preview and review in their daily lives. Developing a good habit can also influence our learning efficiency.

????In the third section, Head of G5, Song Yan gave us a lecture about the benefits of learning and how to understand the world from readings and science exploration. Learning cannot only broaden our knowledge but also influence ourselves.

????Finally, with a round of applause, the students who had done well in the last semester were presented their awards. These certificates of merit will also encourage them to achieve better results in the future.
