Amidst the whispers of June's breeze rustling through the treetops, a series of beautiful stories reached their culmination. At 9:00 AM on June 21st, the grand graduation ceremony for the ninth-grade students of 2024 commenced in the auditorium.

With the enthusiastic applause from parents and teachers, the graduates entered excitedly. Ms. Mabel and Mr. Jackson announced the beginning of this memorable event with their vibrant voices. Distinguished guests including the school supervisor, Mr. Tang Shengchang, the school inspector Ms. Li Ying, Secretary Hu, Principal Ma, Director Zheng, and middle school teachers and parents all attended the ceremony.

During the first section, the SSBS Junior High Symphony Orchestra presented the piece "Emperor waltzes". Its graceful melody added an artistic vibe to the graduation ceremony, setting the perfect stage for the following event.

Following the spectacular performance, it was time for the student representative speech. Daisy from Class 9-2 shared her four-year learning experience in middle school. Over these four years, they have experienced the pandemic and overcome various challenges, while also cherishing many beautiful moments. She expressed endless gratitude to all students and teachers. Her speech reminded them of the colorful memories, in which we students strived to become better versions of ourselves.

The next section was the presentation ceremony of the “Student Development Scholarships”. Secretary Hu read out the purpose of establishing these scholarships and announced the list of awardees. May the students of SSBS continue to shine on their future paths, striving for continuous progress.

Parents’ support and correct guidance are also indispensable during middle school life. Parent representative Mrs. Zhang delivered a speech to express affirmation of students’ hard work and the atmosphere of mutual assistance and progress. She also conveyed sincere gratitude to SSBS for its earnest guidance of students.

Then, parent representatives Ms. Jia and Ms. Zhao took to the stage to present a beautifully crafted calligraphy "Sparkling Galaxy", which symbolizes the students’ shining brightly among the crowds and achieving remarkable accomplishments.

As the students graduated, the teachers also had heartfelt messages and blessings to impart. Principal Ma delivered the commencement speech. She affirmed and praised students’ diligent studies and expressed hopeful expectations for their futures. She believes that they will face future challenges and opportunities with their best selves.

Following this, homeroom teachers and English teachers took turns to reminisce about past moments and give out best wishes for the future. From the initial meetings marked by youthful shyness to the present heartfelt "Happy graduation," the teachers' blessings and affirmations will reside in students’ hearts, propelling them toward a future full of possibilities.

Next comes the highlight of the graduation ceremony — the tassel-turning ritual. Standing shoulder to shoulder with their teachers, the students bid farewell to their middle school years in their finest manner, ready for the next journey ahead.

Finally, all ninth-grade students sang their original graduation song "Follow the Light". With heartfelt singing, they expressed their complex emotions of reluctance, gratitude, and anticipation. As the graduation ceremony ended, the students bid farewell to their middle school friends and gave out their sincere wishes.

Yet, the surprise came at the end. A video appeared on the big screen, where ninth-grade teachers from various subjects presented blessings to the students. All students expressed their surprise and gratitude with warm applause and loud cheers.

Countless stars gather to form a shimmering Milky Way. The students have already grown from clueless children to dazzling young adults. "Time flows like a river, never stopping day or night." We cannot halt the passage of time, but the beautiful memories of middle school will always linger in our hearts, illuminating our future like a glimmering starlight. When the scattered starlight converges, it forms a radiant stream of light.
