On April 19, 2024, the Spring Sports Meet of the High School Division is grandly held. The events include track competitions such as 60m, 200m, and 800m/1000m races for both boys and girls, as well as field events like high jump, long jump, and shot put.

The Opening Ceremony

The school flag flapped energetically in the wind. Students and teachers from the high school department gathered on the field. As the national anthem echoed throughout the sports field, the PRC flag was raised. Afterward, the athlete representative and referees stepped on the stage and vowed to ensure the fairness of the competition, promised to adhere to the rules, and encouraged students to attend the sports meet with passion and determination, inspiring them to excel in the competition. As the sun shone brightly upon the fields, the high school sports meet officially began.

Track Events

The 60m sprint started off the track events, with the athletes poised at the starting line. Sweat trickled down their faces as they stared at the finish line ahead and waited for the starting signal. The sound of the whistle sliced across the atmosphere, and they sprinted forward with determination.

The competition for the 200m race was particularly intense; the students eagerly stood in the marshaling area. As the race began, athletes raced around the bends and straightaways, chasing each other persistently. Each stride, fueled by hope and determination, brought them closer to the finish line.

The event that followed was the enduring race of 800m (for girls) and 1000m (for boys). Even though their feet seemed to drag them down with each additional lap down the red track, the athletes kept running until they reached the finish line. Their efforts were a sign of victory even if they did not win the race.

The final event was the 4x100m relay, where competitors skillfully passed on the batons amidst the fierce competition. The fourth athletes of the relay teams carried the hope of their teammates and sprinted towards the finish line with confidence.

Field Events

The shotput athletes gathered on the basketball court, demonstrating their strength and skill as they hurled the solid ball. The audience applauded as they witnessed each strengthful throw.

Inside the gymnasium, high jumpers pushed themselves to their limits as they tried to jump over higher bars. They leaped over the bars with agility, and landed on the soft cushions. Every jump was a breakthrough of their limits, conveying the relentless spirit of sports competition.

The long jump competition took place in the pit. Athletes sprinted along the runway, leaped into the air, and landed in the sand pit. Each successful jump met with cheers from the crowd.

Throughout the sports meet, volunteers from each class played a crucial role in organizing audiences and athletes, assisting referees, and recording the meet results, ensuring that the events were carried out successfully. Their dedication were crucial to the overall success of the spring sports meet.

As the sports meet ended under the clear blue sky, some of the athletes left the field without an award, while the champions celebrated their victory. "Despite countless failures, I continue to strive without rest." The end of the sports meet marks a new beginning, urging us to move forward together, toward a future where everyone strives remarkable success, where we leave behind our cheers.
