Q1:What's your overall impression of the leadership workshop morning session?
My overall impression of the leadership workshop morning session is extremely positive and inspiring. The leaders showed great care and passion for fine-tuning their leadership skills. They shared great insights with each other on how they approach leadership challenges. They asked great questions. They challenged the frameworks I offered and reflected deeply on how they might apply to their own situations.
Q2:What is one area you hope these leaders will develop further in going forward?
The one area I hope the leaders will develop further in going forward is the ability to adjust their leadership approach to the situations they face - choosing different conflict management styles and leadership styles to meet their challenges in a dynamic and responsive way. These leaders already have tools that work well for them.aOne important next step is to broaden their leadership toolkits to have even more impact.
Q3:What is your overall impression of the SSBS & HBBSS Leadership Teams?
I am deeply impressed with the rich experience, thoughtfulness, energy and strong sense of purpose of the SSBS & HBBSS Leadership Teams. I was really inspired by them. I believe they have already done amazing things and will continue to develop into even stronger leaders with tremendous impact on students, the schools and the broader community.AIt was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to work with them.

Q: What do you think of the leadership workshop?
First of all, I’m very glad to be invited to this event. The morning session was interesting. I felt like I was back at university. Reading lecture slides and having group discussions. I’m really looking forward to this afternoon when we have the group presentations. We are students instead of our regular roles – being teachers. It is always appreciated when we can have opportunities to learn and grow.

Q: How do you feel about this workshop?
I really enjoyed the morning session. I thought the warmup activity with the negotiation and the self-assessment of the leadership style was excellent. Our afternoon session with our team was a really nice opportunity to network and share ideas with the staff at SSBS. We share a lot of the same passions and perspectives and it was great to build a consensus with a new team of respected colleagues. I look forward to building on what we started!

Q: What do you like the most about the event?
One of the most interesting things I became aware of was the classification of different leadership styles and where these methods are effective. It was quite interesting to hear from an expert about how to most efficiently manage people to benefit both the employer and employee. I think creating a proposal with my team was the most enjoyable aspect for me. It was fun to be given a challenge, a time limit, and the goal of creating something from nothing. It was exciting to help coordinate and encourage everyone to work together in a constructive and harmonious manner.
