As the autumn wind gets stronger and the leaves are falling everywhere, nature has changed into colorful autumn clothes. In this season full of poetry and pictures, the little artists from Grade 4 and 5， with their endless love and curiosity for nature, got together and welcomed the 112th painting salon - the wonderful meeting of "People and Nature". On this late autumn afternoon, they used their young and inexperienced strokes to draw vivid and emotional pictures, telling the warm stories with the natural world.     

沈知白Alisa

 

Hello everyone, I am Alisa Shen Zhibai from Class 5, Grade 4. I have many hobbies, but my favorite is painting. I have been particularly sensitive to colors since I was a child, and painting is one of the things I focus on most.

I created a total of five works, using sketches, quick sketches and talkative techniques to depict the cute images of cats. "Cat in front of the window": captures the beautiful moment of cats enjoying the light in a quiet room. " Leopard Cat " uses quick sketches to show the artistic conception of Chinese painting. "Van Gogh Cat" uses Van Gogh's usual saturated colors to show the depth of my emotions for cats. "Cat Band" is inspired by the band my mother loves, encouraging everyone to bravely pursue their dreams and show their personal talents. "Cat Beer Festival" is a cartoon full of joy and relaxation. It was inspired by my experience visiting the Qingdao Beer Museum and shows the fun of cats' life at the seaside beer festival.

Each of my works cleverly hides a letter of my name (A-L-I-S-A). You are welcome to look carefully. I hope you can feel my love for cats and my yearning for a better life through my works.

 

丁若轩Miuccia

 

I am Miuccia Ding from Class 3 Grade 5. Every time I pick up my paintbrush, it feels like I enter a magical world. I brought six works that fit the theme of this art salon - Humans and Nature. Among them, “Ghost Guardian” is inspired by Miyazaki's Ghost Princess, reflecting the protagonist Shan's tenacious trip in protecting nature. The inspiration for “The Silk Road” comes from the rich history of Dunhuang, praising the importance of the Silk Road to China. The song “Dragon Water Show”is based on Suzhou garden windows, and our Chinese dragon. The “Dance of the Four Seasons - Spring” is a tribute to Alphonse Mucha. It is reflecting the vitality of spring and giving people strength and encouragement. The “Animal Music Festival”uses vivid colors to reflect the close connection between humans and animals. The last piece of work is“Dynamic and Static”，which was usd the iPad software Procreate. Accompanied by peach blossoms, it shows the peaceful moments between the woman and the bird.

李明泽Ashley

Hello everyone, my name is Ashley Li Mingze from G5-2. I love small animals since I was a child, and I always try to draw small animals in various ways. This time I presented six paintings of animal series to the students, including "Cat - Gentle World", "Auspicious Snake - Snake", "The Birth of the Ape", "Turtle", " War Horse " and "Wandering Rabbit". All my works were created by oil painting, using rich colors, composition, light and shadow and brushstrokes to vividly depict small animals. Through my works, I hope reflect the harmonious beauty of human and nature, and awaken people's attention to nature, animals and the environment. To protect them is to protect ourselves.

This art exhibition is not only an exhibition of art, but also a pass of green concepts. Through the children's works, we see a beautiful vision of harmony between man and nature, and also feel the sense of responsibility and mission that children have for environmental protection. Let's join this art feast in the depth of autumn and feel the beauty of nature painted by the children's brushes. Let's work together to protect our beautiful earth home.
