The 126th Salon — "Art-tastic World"
"Art-tastic World"
In the starry river of art, every childlike heart is a unique and shining star. On November 16th, the 126th Art Salon - an art exhibition jointly held by Mila, Jack and Linda- was gracefully launched, embarking on a dreamlike artistic journey, allowing creativity and imagination to freely blossom in the pure hearts.
Mila
Hello everyone, I'm Yu YouMing, Mila, from Class 2, Grade 3. The works in this exhibition are divided into three categories: abstract art, sketching works and Chinese classical art, each carrying my sincere feelings.
The abstract painting "Maze", created when I was 4 years old, with its winding lines drawn by my fingers, marked the start of my painting journey and the origin of my dreams. Two sketching works capture the beauty of the four seasons: the one with black lines on a yellow background, taking dry branches as materials, shows the tranquility of autumn and winter; the work with bright color blocks, blending pink and green, depicts the romance of summer like a sunny umbrella.
The Chinese classical works are the highlight. The "General Jar" features famous ancient Chinese patterns, adorned with small metal-pen drawings like clouds and waves, bringing new vitality to traditional designs. The vine painting symbolizes the brotherhood in ancient China, with winding vines and fruits representing family prosperity and harmony. The last two are Vermilion Bird and Azure Dragon from the Four Divine Beasts, embodying power and strength, with pictographs added to tell ancient myths. I love Chinese classical art for its solemn and classic charm. Each work is a expression of my passion, and I hope you will enjoy them.
Jack
Boys are often fascinated by mechanical and sci-fi elements—and I’m no exception. In my works, I’ve been striving to explore how to integrate mechanical elements with ecological balance and technological innovation. For example, Super Rocket depicts how humans will use garbage as rocket fuel in the future. Ocean Guardian shows deep-sea robots cleaning up marine debris.
Squirrel’s Treehouse portrays how squirrels use technology to build a high-tech treehouse where they can make both airplanes and cars—isn’t that super cool? Super Engineering Vehicle is my most amazing invention: it has multiple identities, serving as an engineering vehicle, a fire truck, a combat vehicle, and even a sanitation truck. Its power comes from converting the garbage it cleans and collects into kinetic energy. Giant Invasion depicts how humans use technological to fend off the invading giants. I also love expressing my works with bold and rich colors, just like my wild imagination.
Linda
Hello everyone! I'm Linda from Class G4-8. I've brought six paintings full of my heartfelt feelings, and each one holds my love and ideas! "Sweet Dream Party" uses paper cutting to create three-dimensional desserts, with the white-pen grid being super unique, filled with a sweet vibe. "Mask Carnival" combines hand-painting and printing, gathering traditional and cartoon facial masks together—I hope everyone will fall in love with Chinese opera culture. "Secret Lotus Pond" uses watercolor rendering to create a dreamy lotus pond, with vivid depictions of plants and animals, showing the beauty of nature. "Rhapsody of Eyes and Flowers" lets eyes have a fantasy dialogue with flowers, and the paper cutting technique gives it a strong visual impact. There are also the "Zhong Kui Bringing Blessings" and "Nine Dragons Bringing Auspiciousness", which are full of traditional folk elements, with festive colors conveying auspicious wishes. These paintings use various methods such as markers and watercolors, and I hope everyone can feel the joy and the charm of traditional Chinese culture in them!

Although the "Art-tastic World" art salon has ended, the children's journey of exploring art will not stop. They will carry the inspiration and courage gained from the activity and continue to forge ahead on the art path, creating more of their own wonderful moments.
