SSBS Swimming Team Achieves Outstanding Results in National Summer Competition

In the summer of 2025, the swimming team of SSBS created a "blue storm" in the U Series events, shining brightly with their outstanding performance. This summer, the swimmers of SSBS Swimming Team made significant breakthroughs in athlete rankings. One athlete reached the level of National Master, three achieved the first-level athlete status, and two became second-level athletes. Even those who did not make breakthroughs in athlete rankings saw remarkable improvements in their personal performances. In terms of rankings, the team members of the Star School Swimming Team worked together to win 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and 22 top eight places, topping the list among schools participating in the U Series events.

Behind the brilliant achievements lies a well-developed training system and coaching team, as well as the daily persistence and breakthroughs of the team members. Teachers Jiang Yaohua and Shao Chao led the team to participate in the Ningde Station of the U Series, providing professional guidance and imparting competition experience to the team members. They encouraged the athletes when they encountered setbacks and did not achieve ideal results, and used their most professional knowledge to help the team members achieve their best performance. Wang, a student from Class 4, Grade 2, achieved two sports master standards and two first-class athlete standards in the Yangzhou Station of the U Series. He won two gold medals and two silver medals, setting a good example for his younger schoolmates.

Despite being in poor form, Wu, a member of Class 9(7), achieved first-class athlete status in all four events he participated in and secured the third place in the final 50-meter freestyle race.

Despite falling ill before the competition, Yin, a member of Class 8(2), insisted on competing. He broke his personal best in all four events, achieved three first-class results, and won two second places and one third place.

Student Zhang, a member of Class 2, Grade 6, showed no fear of strong opponents at the U-Series Ningbo Station. Facing rivals older than himself, he competed at his best, meeting the first-class athlete standard in three events and finishing 7th in the 100m breaststroke.

Student Zhou, from Class 2, Grade 5, participated in the 11-12 age group competition at the age of 11. During the competition, he achieved the second-class athlete standard in 7 events and secured top-8 finishes in all of them. This performance is outstanding among 11-year-old boys, and a bright future awaits him!

Student Wang, a member of Class 3, Grade 9, participated in 3 events. Despite having very little training in June and July, he trained diligently in August. In the end, he broke his personal bests in all 3 events and met the second-class athlete standard in each.

Student Yao, from Class 5, Grade 7, also took part in 3 events. Having just returned from high-altitude training on the 23rd, he rushed to compete on the 25th and was unable to perform at his best. Nevertheless, he still achieved the second-class athlete standard in all 3 events.

For Student Bao of Class 2, Grade 5, in the 3 events he participated in, his performances in the 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke have already reached the third-class athlete level, and he also broke his personal best in the 50m freestyle.

More and more outstanding athletes from SSBS Swimming Team will participate in national competitions and make their mark in events at all levels. We are ready for the National Youth Swimming U-Series Final in October!
