On the one hand, it offers individuals and organizations the opportunity to participate in combating global climate change; on the other hand, every aspect of the project can benefit local residents. Currently, the project has expanded to Lingwu City, Ningxia, and continues to bring about changes.

Shanghai Roots & Shoots "Happy Seedling Program"

Project Feedback: Shanghai Roots & Shoots "Happy Seedling Program"

In 2010, Shanghai Roots & Shoots launched the "Happy Seedlings Program" based on the previous Migrant Children's Sports and Health Education Project (2006-2009). Currently, the "Happy Seedlings Program" is being carried out in four migrant children's primary schools in Minhang District, with over 5,000 students participating. In response to the common problems among the students of the migrant children's schools involved in the "Happy Seedlings Program", such as high rates of myopia and tooth decay, and a lack of knowledge and resources regarding hygiene and nutrition, Shanghai Roots & Shoots invited professionals to design hygiene and nutrition health courses and produced health course videos. It is hoped that through the "Happy Seedlings Health Course", students can develop good hygiene and dietary habits and grow up healthily. Our school continues to support this program, aiming to improve the growth conditions of children from the root and convey the concept that "health is the future".

All the donated funds will be used for the educational and teaching activities carried out by Qiyin School for disabled students.
