On the morning of June 6th, the 2025 high school graduation ceremony of SSBS was grandly held with the presence of teachers, students and parents. Hosted by Teacher Fan Xinyue and Mr. Plageman, the ceremony officially kicked off.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the students expressed their gratitude to the school leaders, including President Tang Shengchang and Principal Li Ying, as well as the high school teachers and parents, with warm applause.

First, Zhang Shujia and Chen Nuo, as representatives of the 2025 graduating class, delivered their speeches. As students who have been studying at Star School since Grade 1, Zhang Shujia reviewed the past 12 years of her life at the school and expressed her gratitude for the enlightenment the school has provided: from the moment of discovering the beauty of science while immersed in reading to the eternal pursuit of wisdom and truth. Chen Nuo, on the other hand, expressed her gratitude for the two kinds of confidence the school has cultivated in her: the ability to think independently has made her a seeker of truth, and the spirit of free exploration has enabled her to feel the pulse of civilization in linguistics. She paid tribute to the teachers' selfless dedication and perseverance, which have guided students on their path to growth.

Following this, Teacher Li Yeqing, as a representative of the teachers, delivered a speech. Looking back on her ten years of work in the high school department of Star School and witnessing the transformation of students from naive teenagers to dream chasers, she was filled with countless emotions. She hoped that the students would always maintain the courage of explorers and embrace the diverse world with an open mind. At the same time, she encouraged the students to uphold the school's philosophy of "Chinese core, global flow", act as cultural "pontiffs", and build a bridge for cultural exchange between China and the world, allowing the world to hear China's voice.

The students presented flowers to the parents' representatives, expressing their highest respect and most sincere gratitude for their parents' nurturing.

Mr. Li, father of Hanlin Li, as a representative of the parents, delivered a speech. He thanked the Star School teaching team for their warm companionship and professional guidance, from daily teaching to college planning, from academic cultivation to psychological counseling, providing all-round support for students' growth. The school's high-quality AP curriculum system, with the concept of balanced development in both liberal arts and sciences, has laid a solid foundation for students to expand their international vision and cultivate core competencies. He hoped that the students, when studying abroad, would also adhere to long-termism, always be grateful, and realize their life value through hard work.

Subsequently, the parents' representatives of the 2025 graduating class presented graduation gifts to the school, symbolizing the bright future of Star School students and the school's continuous progress and "ever-rising". Secretary Hu Qingtian accepted the gifts on behalf of the school.

To encourage students' outstanding achievements in social service, special talents and all-round development, the school has specially set up the Comprehensive Development Scholarship. Teacher Ge Tianshi announced the list of students who received the scholarship. President Tang, Principal Li and Principal Su presented the awards to the Star School students who received the scholarship and took a group photo.

The most exciting moment then came - the tassel ceremony. Principal Su, Vice Principal Pan, Vice Principal Zhang, Director Shen and Teacher Li, the grade leader, pulled the tassels of each graduate on stage and presented them with their graduation certificates. When the golden tassels were gently pulled from the right shoulder to the left, this moment not only symbolized the completion of their studies but also captured the glory of their youth, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

Finally, the graduation ceremony came to an end with the students' adapted performance of "Cups". The youthful voices on the stage were accompanied by a video of the past three years of their school life: concentrated study in the classroom, sweating on the sports field, and inspiration in the art room... Every scene was engraved with the marks of growth, witnessing the transformation from naivety to maturity.

Three years have passed, but the memories will never fade. We wish every graduating student, carrying the expectations of their alma mater, to set sail in the vast sea of life with the starry sky as their boat and wisdom as their sail; to steer with their dreams and paddle with their perseverance, and ride the waves of life with courage!
