G5-G9 Spring Outing in 2025
On May 8th, despite the rain, the fifth graders' excitement for their long-awaited field trip remained undiminished. They visited two destinations—Shanghai LEGOLAND Discovery Center and Changfeng Park—making the day extra special.
In the morning, they explored LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Indoors, they marveled at a miniature Shanghai skyline built entirely from LEGO bricks, complete with tiny LED lights. At the creative workshop, they unleashed their imagination, constructing unique models from piles of bricks. They also enjoyed an immersive 3D movie, amazed by its technological brilliance.
After lunch, they headed to Changfeng Park’s aquarium. Inside, vibrant fish darted among pale coral reefs while graceful jellyfish and other marine life mesmerized them. The highlight was touching live starfish, making them feel like they’d entered an underwater world.
When the trip ended, the students left reluctantly, taking home joyful memories and leaving behind echoes of laughter.
The field trip to Chenshan Botanical Garden allowed students to explore diverse plants and ecosystems. Despite unexpected drizzle, the students eagerly immersed themselves in the indoor gardens.
The garden features three spectacular indoor sites. First, the rainforest area was dazzled with vibrant flowers. Beneath giant leaves, students in colorful uniforms played hide-and-seek, surrounded by nature’s beauty, their laughter and camera clicks filling the air.
Next, the desert area shifted to earthy tones. Students marveled at flowering cacti and discussed desert delicacies made from their stems. A caretaker carefully removed a tiny yellow flower from a cactus tip, revealing nature’s miracles in harsh conditions.
The final stop was the Rare Plants Pavilion, home to exclusive specimens. Students wandered through the glass greenhouse, cameras ready, eyes shining with excitement as they admired these rare treasures.
More than just a botanical lesson, this trip became a cherished memory—a chorus of childhood joy that lingers as spring fades.
