‘La la la la la la sing a happy song! La la la la la la Smurf the whole day long!’ As the Smurf song suggests, on Thursday, May 15th, SSBS grade 1 and 2 students happily smurfed all day long at Smurf Land. The day was packed full of fun with Smurf rides, Smurf play areas, Smurf dress up, Smurf trampolines, and 6D cinemas. The students took a well deserved rest from their studies to unwind and have an action packed day out! This does not mean that the day was without its educational value. One of the big hits of the day were the escape rooms where students used teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving to find their way out of the room. What was truly fantastic to see throughout the day, was how all of the students closely followed the safety rules and went out of their way to help out their friends. There was definitely some Smurfing magic in the air that every student took away with them, as well as all of the wonderful memories too! So Smurf yourselves a grin grades 1 and 2 for making that day such a fantastic day to remember!

Accompanied by teachers and parent volunteers, third and fourth graders eagerly ventured into Pujiang Country Park, immersing themselves in nature's classroom to explore ecological wonders within this thriving urban oasis.

The green-canopied adventure playground transformed into an arena for cultivating courage and teamwork. Multi-level climbing structures formed a dynamic challenge course where students tested their physical limits while forging stronger bonds through cooperation. As young explorers navigated rope courses and obstacle networks, the entire space pulsated with youthful energy, blending adolescent vigor with wilderness charm into a vibrant springtime symphony.

Guided by the educators, students roamed the castle garden with collection bags, gathering vibrant leaves and petals for nature collages. Their imaginative creations—whimsical animal shapes crafted from botanical materials—blossomed into unique tributes to spring, each reflecting individual creativity.

Bathed in gentle breezes and golden sunlight, these carefully preserved petals and leaf veins pressed in young palms would gradually unfold into formative memories, destined to blaze new trails of discovery in their growing understanding of the world.
