SSBS & HBBSS hosted a spectacular Grand Chinese New Year celebration, that not only acknowledged the dedicated efforts of every teacher this semester but furthermore highlighted the achievements of standout teachers from each grade band.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the presentation of Long-Term Service Awards, a prestigious recognition bestowed upon twenty teachers who have contributed their expertise and passion to SSBS & HBBSS for five years or more. In a heartfelt moment, Superintendent Principal Tang honored three veteran educators for their remarkable decade-long commitment to SSBS & HBBSS.

Superintendent Principal Tang expressed his appreciation, stating, "Our teachers are the heartbeat of SSBS, and their tireless commitment is truly commendable. These awards are a testament to their outstanding service and dedication to nurturing the potential within our students."

In addition to the individual recognitions, the Grand Chinese New Year celebration featured vibrant performances, cultural displays, and a festive atmosphere that brought together teachers and administrators in a spirit of unity and celebration.

The event underscored SSBS & HBBSS’s commitment to fostering supportive and appreciative environments for our educators. It served as a platform not only to honor the achievements of the teaching staff but also to express gratitude for their continuous dedication to shaping the future of the school.

It was a great honor to receive the seniority award from Principal Tang. Having worked for him a grand total of fifteen years between two different schools, I have witnessed what amazing developments unfold under his guidance and structuring, and feel privileged to have played a small role in making SSBS one of China's premier educational institutions.

Since our school opened in 2017, starting with just Grade 1 & 6, I have had the privilege to see how we have grown. The students, from those just arrived in August 2023 to our first Grade 9 graduates (soon to head to university!), have made every day feel impactful. The teachers, from those who helped us in our founding year to those working now, have pushed me to develop myself as a teacher, a colleague, and a leader. I am so thankful for this home and family that HBBSS has been, and I am excited to see what new ground we will tread in the years to come.

I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for the award I have been given in regard to my performance as a grade 1 teacher. Other teachers have helped me to further develop my craft . My students have also challenged me and have enabled me to deepen my teaching ability.
