In order to increase safety awareness of both the students and teachers，a fire drill was held in the first to three grades of SSBS on the 28th of September.

Before the fire drill, the faculty and staff held meetings to carefully plan every detail. Each teacher clearly understood drill procedures and evacuation routes. They also educated students about how to prevent fire and save themselves from fire in advance.

When the fire alarm rang, teachers calmly instructed students to cover their mouths and noses using their hands and to lower their bodies to rapidly get out of the teaching building in order. During the process of evacuation, no one was injured. All classes evacuated within 2 minutes and all arrived at the meeting spot within 5 minutes.

After all the classes arrived safely in the playground the flag-raising ceremony began. Ms. Zhang Yuwei from Class 1(8) and Lu Zhiyan from Class 3(6) gave a speech about patriotism. They expressed their love and blessing for the motherland on the occasion of the motherland's 69th birthday.

The fire drill has been a complete success. During this drill, the safety awareness of all teachers and students has been strengthened.
